One week

Eve is back up to her birthweight today. Yay! She still has her ventilator in, and the nurse yesterday told us that Eve is tryimg to breathe around it. That is also great news as it means she isn't trying to rely on the ventilator. Today we met a new nurse who said she has asked to be Eve's dedicated day nurse. She said she really wanted to work with Eve because she was "feisty" and a little fighter. I loved hearing that!  Eve was getting some ultrasound tests done on her heart to make sure all was ok there. We should hear the results tonight.

That was about it for today. Yesterday she was more active, trying to open her eyes and and stretch her tiny arms and legs. Today we caught her at naptime.

Quick update on the tests: she still has a small PDA but instead of treatimg it again rightbaway, they are going to wait one or two days to see if it closes on it's own. Not the news we hoped, but not terrible. Keep praying for her!
