34 weeks

That is Eve's gestational age today. I'm hping it's her magic "turn the corner" number.

No visit today as I had my follow-up appointment with the ob/gyn, plus kids' stuff, plus picking up glasses,...you know -- life. ;)

The only thing changed for Eve today was the amount of time for her feedings. She was receiving her feeds for an hour; starting today, she will be down to 45 minutes. This is to see how she does in preparation for breast or bottle feeds. Those won't take 60 minutes at a time, so she needs to be able to digest her food in a shorter amount of time. O2 still the same and no major events.

My appointment went well, aside from crying in the waiting room when I heard a baby and crying in the room when the nurse asked how I was doing. I don't think that nurse had a clue what to do. Although I don't really like her after the whole mess with my headache that turned out to be preeclampsia, so I may have had my "shit face" (Bills's name for it!) on as soon as I walked in. Anyway, the doctor said I SHOULD be stressed, upset, sad, tired, etc. with everything going on and she suggested extra B vitamins and working out to help with it and then check back in if it feels unmanageable. She said working out has the same effects on the brain as Paxil. Good thing that's my job! She also took me off of ONE of the blood pressure meds. I have another follow-up for the blood pressure in two weeks.

Probably no hospital visit tonight as I'm going up early tomorrow to visit with Eve and then get her dressed for pictures.
