So, today marks one month from when I went to the hospital for a Percoset and ended up with a baby girl and a one week all accomodations included stay at L'Hôtel de Grossmont. I can't believe it has already been a month, although I can't decide if it has gone quickly or if it feels like an eternity.
I came to visit Eve at 5:45 tonight, so only got an hour to spend with her before shift change. Just hanging out in the lounge now until 7:45 when I can go back and hold her. Her primary doctor also called me today for a thorough update on Eve. So, she got another blood transfusion today as he is hoping this will help with the more frequent apneas and bradys she has been having. She also received more diuretics so that the excess fluid in her lungs can be flushed out. Hopefully, this will help her to decrease her oxygen needs, as she has been hanging out at the same levels and pressures. She is finished with the bag nutrition, which means her PICC line is coming out tomorrow. One less tube taped to/needle in her little body, whoohoo!
Overall, all is going well with Eve. She is now considered the "healthy" one on her level! She's still on the most critical level though, so not quite doing cartwheels yet. Maybe some quiet cheers. ;) The nurses commented on what a dramatic change she has gone through in just a week, so I'm feeling hopeful about her progress from here on.
Going back again in about 20 minutes, so I will hopefully have pictures for you later.
Things are sounding good. Thanks for the updates, I check daily.
